  1. Notes on Printers Devil™ fonts:  
  2. Printers Devil fonts include: Bodidly Bold, Oswald Black, Oswald Grey,  
  3. BlackForest, InkaBod, and CartWright  
  4.    These fonts are NOT crippled.  They contain all the regular alphanumeric  
  5. characters. Most contain an assortment of special characters.  Fonts contain  
  6. “hinting”; usually over one hundred kerning pairs are defined. AFM files are  
  7. included.  Bodidly Bold, Oswald Black, Blackforest, and Inkabod are type 1  
  8. PostScript fonts and may also be used with ATM on non-PostScript printers.  
  9. Oswald Grey , a type 3 font, may only be used on PostScript printers.  It has 
  10.  
  11. an 80% grey fill with a black border.  
  12.  Bodidly Bold and Oswald Black look great in small or large sizes.  I’d  
  13. recommend using Oswald Grey at 24 points or larger.  
  14.      BlackForest and Inkabod are designed without any curves.  With one or  
  15. two exceptions all angles are multiples of 45 degrees.  BlackForest has an  
  16. old world German feel.  It seems to look best about 24 points.  InkaBod is  
  17. based on the bitmapped font Nordic. On the LaserWriter it looks great at 14  
  18. points and above.  On the ImageWriter, try it at 18 points and larger.  
  19.  CartWright is inspired by the Adobe wood type Ponderosa font.  It contains  
  20. only the basic 90+ characters.  
  21.       The bitmap screenfonts are just your basic Fontographer-generated  
  22. characters with minimal touchup.  With ATM on the market I’d rather spend my  
  23. time polishing up the PostScript file than slaving over an archaic bitmap  
  24. screenfont.  
  25.    Printers Devil™ fonts are distributed in the spirit of shareware.  Try  
  26. them out for a month.  If you decide to keep any of these fonts you are  
  27. required to send a $10 per font registration fee to:

  34.     These products may be distributed freely as long as the following  
  35. conditions are met: The files may not be modified and this notice must be  
  36. included with each font or group of Printer Devil™ fonts; Fonts may be  
  37. included on collections of Public Domain and Shareware disks providing that  
  38. no more than $10 is charged for the disk.

  40. The Bottom Line:  We will continue to release laser fonts in a non-crippled  
  41. format as long as there is a fair response to the registration fee.
